Systems, LLC, a leading developer of digital imaging technologies,
releases Express Print Designer, a software application for
creating custom print formats, such as greeting cards, postcards,
albums and scrapbooks, providing large photo labs with profitable
new digital products.
Express Print Designer is a visual design application that
lets labs create and manage “Express Print templates”
which— along with service and index prints— are
inherently supported by the Europa line of printers. When
selected, these templates are applied to a customer’s
image. Express Print Designer is ideal for creating borders,
multi-image postcards, holiday cards, scrapbook pages and
specialized service prints, such as wallet prints and album
pages.
The Express Print Designer provides a toolbox of print elements
that can be positioned on a print background and then sized.
Elements include image, image set, text, logo, and barcode.
Each element has properties that can be set to further customize
the resulting print.

lab can let their design team run wild, creating custom prints
that meet customer demands and capture significant margins
in this fast growing segment of the digital photofinishing

Offered in conjunction with the Europa printer and Express
Imaging Systems’ workflow and image enhancement software,
Express Imaging Systems technicians will help labs setup the
software when they install a new Europa printer. Express Print
Designer is a desktop application whose output can be exported
to any number of Europa printers.
The Europa 10 runs at 10,000 pph and has the lowest cost of
ownership of any digital printer on the market. Features,
such as compatibility with industry standard paper cassettes,
a fast and easy color management system with integrated ICC
profile software, and a Windows XP interface, mean that the
Europa integrates easily into any existing workflow. The environmentally
friendly MEK and/or solvent-free thermal back-printer will
run for weeks between roll changes without fogging the equipment
or requiring expensive clean-up.
