Europa 10 Digital Printer Meets Demand for Digital Print Growth

February 17, 2005. Seattle, WA – Express Imaging Systems is shipping a limited supply of the Europa 10 high speed digital printers in first half 2005 to meet the growing demand for digital prints in wholesale photofinishing labs worldwide. Designed for high volume printing, the Europa 10 uses breakthrough technology of LED and LCD components to achieve crystal-clear print resolution of 450 ppi. Commitments for first half 2005 delivery will be taken at PMA 2005 and the production allocation is limited.

The Europa 10 is the most economical digital high speed printer by a factor of two. If minilabs are currently used to fulfill digital prints in centralized photofinishing labs, the Europa 10 can deliver five times the print output of several minilabs with much lower capital requirements. The Europa 10 will scale perfectly with your photofinishing operation as demand for digital prints continues to grow to over 28% of total prints produced in 2005 (PMA Marketing Research).

The Europa 10 boasts the most profitable operating RA4 printer in the world. The Europa 10 is compatible with Agfa and Gretag take-up and supply cassettes, making for easy integration into existing infrastructures. The environmentally friendly MEK and solvent-free thermal back-printer will run for weeks between roll changes without fogging the equipment or requiring expensive clean-up.

“The Europa 10 is an integral piece of the fast growing digital printing infrastructure,” stated Keith Miller, CEO of Express Imaging Systems, LLC. “The Europa can interface with existing PfDF or BMC systems, or can stand alone. By investing in R&D, the Europa 10 is the most environmentally-friendly printer in the world with the high-speed thermal back-printing system. We built the machine to upgrade to your growing needs for digital fulfillment, whether it be greater speed or managing mixed orders up to 8”x10”.”

The Europa 10 is fully compatible with Express Image Manager complete workflow management software. An experienced technician works on-site to manage all workflow software integration projects. Customers can also install i2e intelligent image enhancement software, capable of processing 5,000 images per hour per server. Upgrades on the Europa 10 printer of 20,000 images/hour and 8” print size options are also available in 2005.

Contact Bryan Heathman, VP of Sales & Marketing, Express Imaging Systems, to arrange a visit to see our US and European lab trials. Express Imaging Systems will be present at PMA 2005, booth 5089.
