Express Imaging Systems Releases Express Central PfDF Server for Workflow Management

(SEATTLE, WA) Express Imaging Systems, LLC, a leading developer in digital imaging solutions, announces the release of the Express Central PfDF Server. PfDF (Photofinishing Data Format) is a communication standard designed to aid the exchange of data among different photo finishing devices and to control and track batch, roll and frame information throughout a lab. Now just after the release of the PfDF compatible Europa 10 printer, the software engineers at Express Imaging Systems have created PfDF server and client software for centrally managing digital workflow.

Express Central PfDF Server is just one more step in Express Imaging Systems’ end-to-end commitment to provide reliable open architecture products used in central photo labs. Products, such as the Express Review Station and Express Channels, a powerful image enhancement system, can be paired with the new Express Central PfDF Server. PfDF compatible products, such as digital re-order stations are supported by the Express Central. Express Central PfDF Client seamlessly integrates non-PfDF devices and software, including hotfolder orders, into a centrally managed production environment.

“As centralized labs migrate from film to digital workflow, wholesale labs may have a variety of imaging products that need to communicate efficiently. Because of this, products that serve and implement PfDF software formats make it faster and easier to manage workflow,” stated Bryan Heathman, VP of Sales and Marketing at Express Imaging Systems.

Visit booth 2877 at PMA 2006, Orlando for a demonstration of Express Central PfDF Server and an evaluation of your workflow needs.
