(SEATTLE, WA) Express Imaging Systems,
LLC (EIS), the manufacturer of the award-winning Europa digital
printer family, has entered into a multi-year strategic agreement
with Ros Fotocolor (Ros) of Madrid, Spain. EIS and Ros will
collaborate to convert Ros to a digital wholesale workflow
in an agreement that includes the installation of several
Europa printers and associated workflow software. The equipment
and software developed by EIS is distributed by PhotoIntel
Group Europe and Imaging Tech Iberia, S.L., PhotoIntel's exclusive
dealer in Spain.
With over 2,500 points of sale in Spain, and over 40 years
in the photofinishing business, Ros Fotocolor is a wholesale
photographic lab with complete national coverage, says EIS.

At 10,000 prints per hour, the Europa 10 high speed digital
printer is a logical graduation for labs with capital invested
in older analog, or minilab systems, says EIS. Due to its
open architecture interface, the Europa easily integrates
with any digital workflow, including Agfa dWS. A thermal transfer
backprinter is also included for clean operation.
The Europa is a silver-halide roll-to-roll RA4 printer that
has repeatedly won the prestigious DIMA award with its exclusive
450 ppi HD Prints™. Launched at PMA 2007, the HD Prints™
marketing campaign benefits retailers by creating an association
between high-definition TV (HDTV) and the high-definition
photographic prints produced by the Europa. HD Prints™
are exclusive to the Europa family of printers and are available
in 3.5x5, 4x6 and 5x7-inch print sizes, as well as an optional
4x8-inch size for panoramics and greeting cards.
