Europa Printer Wins First Place in 2007 DIMA Digital Printer
Shoot-Out with 7% Quality Improvement

March 8, 2007 Seattle, WA – Express Imaging Systems, LLC (EIS) a leading developer of digital imaging technologies, announced today that the Europa 10 high speed digital printer, took 1st place in its class at the prestigious 12th Annual DIMA (Digital Imaging Marketing Association) Shoot-Out held at the 2007 PMA (Photo Marketing Association) trade show.

The Europa 10, which prints 5x7 digital images at a rate of 10,000 prints/hour, has garnered highest score each year since the 2005 inception of the RA4 digital printer category and has beat its previous score each year. Consistently strong on text, tonality, detail and shadow depth, this year the Europa digital printer scored high on flesh tones, hue shift, and color measurement. Prints for the competition were made from a demanding high resolution digital file created by PMA.

“Year after year the Europa has been its own best competition. We improved our score 7% over 2006, and 27% over 2005,” said Bryan Heathman, VP of Marketing for Express Imaging Systems, LLC. “It is important to us to build hardware for wholesale photofinishing labs that will produce the best quality prints in the world. Our winning scores reflect that quality.”

The Europa's LED/LCD exposure technology is 8x the resolution of an HDTV and contributes to the award winning quality of its 450 pixel per inch (ppi) prints, now available exclusively under the HD PrintsTM seal. Europa digital printers combine reliability, high speed and low cost of ownership. With a throughput of 10,000 prints per hour (upgradeable to 15,000 prints per hour), wholesale photo labs can have productivity and quality without an outsized capital investment. Due to its open architecture interface, the Europa easily integrates with any digital workflow, including Agfa dWS. The Europa ships complete with an environmentally-friendly thermal transfer Backprinter.

Further information about HD PrintsTM and the Europa line of digital printers can be obtained by visiting EIS during PMA 2007, Booth A251. EIS invites wholesale and central labs to send test images for samples of award winning HD Prints™.
