(Seattle, WA) Express Imaging Systems, LLC,
a leading developer in digital imaging solutions, announces
the release of a new 12 bit version of eBridge, efficiently
harnessing the hyper-threading power of dual processor servers
in multi-server environments.
eBridge brings server farm technology to image
processing workflow and delivers the powerful image enhancement
technology of i2e in an automated background function. Using
master slave relationships between servers, eBridge leverages
a linear increase in throughput times starting at 5,000 images
per hour per server. eBridge can also analyze an image using
12 bits of pixel data, an improvement over standard 8 bit
jpeg processing.
eBridge monitors print statistics and can be
set to delete fogged or blank images based on a sensitive
criteria. Image rotation information can be manually adjusted,
and order history files can be created. Images can be downsized
or upsized during processing. eBridge can be used to customize
workflow into multiple channels with independent image enhancement
settings depending on the type of work, or a customer’s
preferred setting. Add Red Eye removal, or increase sharpening
on a channel-by-channel basis
“As pro labs look at how the latest workflow
software can save them time and money, eBridge will maximize
capital efficiency, yet provide customizable options that
will please the individual artists they work with. Larger
labs can import images from multiple sources and maintain
the unique look each source may require. Different product
levels will also enable labs to pursue a variety of price
points and premium products,” said Bryan Heathman, VP
of Sales and Marketing at Express Imaging Systems, LLC.
eBridge can be used as part of a workflow software
suite, including Express Image Manager (EIM) and CDServer,
or an Express System Solution including the ExpressScan film
scanner, eGate servers, and the Europa line of printers. It
can also be inserted into a lab’s workflow as a standalone
application.
